These highly decorated warriers are their to protect the Matzu gods here in Taiwan. Will often be seen at Matzu festivals and the performance is done by young men. Unfortunatley recently recieved bad press in Taiwan as seventy five youngsters where arrested on drug related issues as they went to perform at a local festival.
